{"id":3660,"date":"2020-11-10T14:45:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-10T21:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pilgrimsofibillin.org\/?p=3660"},"modified":"2020-11-28T21:40:42","modified_gmt":"2020-11-29T04:40:42","slug":"letter-from-our-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pilgrimsofibillin.org\/archive\/letter-from-our-president\/","title":{"rendered":"Letter from Our President"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"125\" height=\"139\" src=\"https:\/\/pilgrimsofibillin.org\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/peter-staff-copy.jpg\" alt=\"Peter Henry\" class=\"wp-image-3471\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dear Fellow Pilgrims,<\/strong><br>There are so many things in the world that we cannot control.&nbsp;So many things we cannot change.&nbsp;And so many people who are really struggling, especially children and youth who are learning from home during the pandemic.&nbsp;We can\u2019t fix everything, but we can all do something.&nbsp;Thank you for choosing to do what you could in 2020.&nbsp;<br><br>Your gifts to Pilgrims enabled the Mar Elias Educational Institution to respond to the needs of the increasing number of students who needed scholarships.&nbsp;Your support also changed the dynamic of a difficult year by supporting the work of our Peace Partners like Wi\u2019Am: The Palestinian Conflict Transformation Center in Bethlehem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your gifts to Pilgrims also sent the strong message to the children and youth of Ibillin that they are loved and valued.&nbsp;We can\u2019t all personally fix a pandemic, but you chose to do something to make a difference and what a difference it made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you!
